ICPA Acquires the International Trade Certification Authority in Strategic Partnership

Effective February 1, 2026

International Trade Certification (ITC), the non-profit organization known for assessing proficiency of trade compliance professionals since 1995, has finalized their acquisition by the International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA), in what can only be described as a landmark merger within the industry.

This merger follows decades of cooperation between ITC and ICPA, who share similar missions of broadening access to global commerce by means of education and inclusion. This official partnership allows ICPA to leverage an incredibly deep bench of working professionals, who will ensure certification via examination remains a meaningful achievement for entry-level, mid-career, and beyond. ICPA’s global events expertise allows ITC to realize its dreams of accessing underserved markets, including new opportunities for alternative content delivery and specialized continuing education services.

Please note, if you have any pending exams or CEU renewals submitted recently nothing will change and we are working to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
